Tim I love the start, hugging you with the cerebral warmth of sparkly cymbals and overall psychedelic beauty it then slowly disbands you to that ice planet drone of blissfull solitude.

David Goldstein Most Papir records melt your face. This one freezes it, albeit awesomely. Gorgeous ambient soundscapes.

Tbesla Just wow, once again these folk deliver an epic set of tunes, long rolling riffs to cater for all, a quiet chill inside the self, a reflection of the peace we all desire, have a listen, if you don't like it, nothing lost but time but oh, if you do, you to will have aural joy for many years to come.

vykr It's a more laid back affair than normal; a wonderful, atmospheric landscape which allows 'Papir' to take a few echoey-steps into new aural territories. It sounds wide and lambent when pushing desert air from good speakers. Yup! I like this album. Favorite track: 7.1 (part I-III).

derbysieger16092019 I love this instrumental approach to a melodic and calm mix of Ambient, Krautrock and Psychedelia. If you like the Gold & Silver sessions of Elder, or Hirschbrunnen of Delving you may want to give this a listen.

Many aspects of Papir’s music seem to have much in common with the sea - be it a wilful association by the Copenhagen-based trio or not. Their output moves in waves, sometimes fierce and blustery, sometimes gentle and calming, but always performed with unforced, organic talent.

Over the course of their 7 full-length albums, the band sways between psychedelic guitar meltdowns and long atmospheric passages with grace and ease. 7, with its blurred aquatic cover artwork is of course no exception to this rule, and the album is comprised of four long songs that return to calming waters after 2021’s heavier Jams.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points. This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
